Our Process
To better serve our clients we have created a 5 phase process that we follow when working on a project; following this process ensures that the project is completed on schedule with minimal interruptions.
The 5 phase process is as follows:
Phase 1 - Consultation Phase
In this phase we will meet with our client to discuss their requirements for a website. It is our goal to:
- Determine what the goal of the website is
- Determine what our client is looking for
- Determine if there are any requirements or constraints that we must adhere to
- Provide the client with various options for the project
Typically we will have a face-to-face meeting with our client if possible; if this is not possible, the same outcome can be achieved through e-mail.
Once the meeting has taken place, NetCubed will provide our client with a quotation of services that will outline the project details and estimated cost of completion.
Phase 2 - Concept Phase
This phase is all about the look, feel and functionality of the website; once our client has accepted our quotation of services we will begin designing the site. What we produce here is what the ultimate website visitor will experience; therefore, this phase is extremely important.
We will present our client with a concept for approval and then proceed to make any requested changes generated by our client's suggestions/requests. Once the concept has been formally approved, we will close this phase and only allow for minor design changes to be made in the future.
Phase 3 - Development Phase
Once we reach this stage, the shell of the website will be complete and it will be time to begin development of any e-commerce functions, programming, databases, etc. required for the site to operate.
Depending on the type of website, this phase has the potential to be the most involved phase of the project.
Phase 4 - Content Phase
When the site is fully prepared it is time to move into the content phase. In this phase, it is our purpose to expand the website by adding more content by incorporating write-ups, images, etc.
Typically, our clients are very involved in this phase as they play a significant role in developing the write-ups and assisting with image selection.
While this phase will not be completed until after phase 3, we frequently get this phase started at the beginning of the project to ensure timeliness.
Phase 5 - Go-live Phase
This is it. This is when we unleash the website to the world.
In this phase we put a final polish on the website, tie up any loose ends that may still be unfinished and perform our final tests. Once we are given the go-ahead from our client, we move the website over to a live environment so that it may be accessed by the target audience.
